Cotton Candy Kush4 StarsLabeled 'outdoor grown,' the cotton candy kush does have some subdued earthy flavors but with some sweeter fruit-like aromas mixed in. The hybrid weed strain should have some kick from its indica ancestor lavender and this bag was no exception (it is rated at above 20% THC on the label sticker), providing a subdued-but-not-heavy level of physical relaxation with a pretty good head buzz. Felt laid back, but also a little confused after the effects came on with only a slight delay. The branding features a picture of Tommy Chong on the bag. Long a legend in marijuana culture, he has now licensed his own brand of Washington recreational weed--but does the quality of the weed hold up to the expectations generated by such a name? For this weed my overall answer is yes. Several nice nugs in the bag. Tastes good and mild from the outdoor growing.Tommy Chong/Antoine Creek Farms
S.A.G.E.5 StarsRight away I noticed that the nugs were dense and firm, with small orange hairs and a minimum of leafiness. After it was run through the old Santa Cruz shredder it looked like classic good indica there in the basin of the grinder, fine grained and even and green. It hit with some real impact when smoked in my small glass bong: the onset of effects is quick and overall the effects and taste in this cannabis seems to lean more toward the relaxing, stony Afghan indica it is partly descended from rather than its other, sativa ancestor. There was less of a sage grass flavor and the the taste leaned more more toward classic kind-bud tart fruit notes. In general this was a very well-grown weed with strong indica-leaning effects without the overpowering aroma of many full-indica strains.Golden Tree Produtions
